I had so many requests to make a line of God dolls, I just couldn't resist!
I named the rainbow of Gods above to make them easy to request, but you should feel free to name them anything you like. I named them: Lugh, Tatevali, Pilunmus, Dionysus, Mani, Fu Shen, Poseidon, Attis, Khadir, Father of the Hunt
(his flannel has cave art on it!), Thoth, and Kokopelli.
These are Pan brothers - one is blond and one is darker with a beard.
Both have furry lower bodies, horns, and a tail!
His body is covered with a silver satin/metallic fishnet combination which is so like
chainmail it will make you laugh (still soft and cuddly, though!).
His tunic is white felt, embroidered on the front
with a red dragon shield and on the back with Excalibur.
Cernunnos, with horns
Greenman, with leaf crown
Shiva, with blue skin, ash lines, namaste embroidery,
tiger loincloth, and needle-felted cobra
Diarmuid, Celtic God of Romantic Love
with willow tree embroidery and golden torc
Shaman, with dreamcatcher embroidery and beads
and feathers in his gray hair.
Ra, with Eye embroidery and sun/serpent headdress
Dylan, Lord of the Sea
Leviathan, Lord of the Sea
(he has scales!)
Herne the Hunter
Unveiling the new God design, based on ancient Kouros (kouroi) figures from Africa,
the Middle East, and Greece! This particular God is Shamash, a sun god from the
Mesopotamian area who embodied the idea of justice. I chose his fabric because it
reminded me of sunlight-dappled parchment (on which laws could be written).
Below are the God embroidery designs I currently have available.
All together they made a beautiful quilt!
